Being one of nine kids meant that if Patrick wanted something, he had to work for it. But working hard was never something that he shied away from. Whether it was waking up at 5:30am to deliver papers before school or running his own vegetable stand with produce acquired from local farmers, he always found a way to pay for a new pair of shoes or basketball camp. Learning new things and upgrading his skill set was also something he was committed to, which is why working in the Mergers and Acquisitions industry was such a good fit for him – an environment where it pays to gain a rapid understanding of a wide array of businesses. It was at firms like Blackford Capital and Calder Capital that he honed his analytical abilities and gained the respect of his peers and managers as a talented analyst with a phenomenal work ethic. Patrick is more than a number cruncher though. He understands the big picture and isn’t afraid to get into the weeds in order to fully understand the business opportunities and risks that can make or break a new venture.
